Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
This morning I passed the AZ-900 exam becoming certified in Azure Fundamentals. I was extremely stressed this morning. I was supposed to take the exam last week but was unable to due to a power outage and damaged computer equipment. I did not sleep well all weekend due to other problems that arose. The extra days did not feel like a blessing, instead they felt like a weight around my neck slowly moving me away from preparedness. It was a huge relief to see the passed message at the end of the exam.
I have wanted a Microsoft certification for a number of years now. When this desire started I was looking at much more ambitious certifications. While this certification is not as ambitious it is still a Microsoft certification meeting my goal. I do not anticipate it will be my last either.
It feels great to be able to update my resume with this certification. Having my most recent certification be related to occupational health and safety has given people the impression I am trying to change careers from IT to safety. Recruiters, employers, and friends have all mentioned this to me. That is most definitely not my desire nor the impression I want to give. So I am feeling good now that an IT certification will be at the top.
